The Product (The Modules)

Why choose Capri Consultancy over other Lean Consultancy firms? Because we do not present beautiful power point presentations to management and only work with management-based teams we are a hands-on company and we work with the shop floor where the product is made, we train your teams in all the aspects of lean thinking and manufacture. We do not tie you down to a one-year contract we can identify savings within one week that is our objective and these savings can range from £20K to £50K and beyond dependent upon the industry. We don’t just talk the talk we walk the walk.

How do we do it?

It all starts with an initial one-day visit. The purpose of this visit is to help you to become more cost effective, identify as many forms of waste that exist within your industry and help you improve your production processes to become lean and more cost effective, this can be done with a three-step process to selecting the required workshop

1. We come into your company and do a one-day CI (Continuous Improvement) assessment which will help you identify any wastes and which workshop would best suit you to tackle your CI problems

2. The next step would be to go into your production processes with one person from our team and one person from your company to identify these wastes and fix these wastes (if possible, straight away, JKD this is a Just Kan Do Kaizen opportunity) or come up with an action plan that can be implemented by your team member or ours. This process normally takes three days to complete

3. Once a workshop has been identified or agreed upon, we can then work with your company to train both the management and shop floor operators in the workshop practices to achieve identified savings. This normally takes between one and two weeks or three weeks if working with a team from abroad.

What Lean Tools and techniques are available? All the identified participants can be trained in the core tools and techniques such as: - 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Error Proofing, Total Productive Maintenance, Quick Change Over (Single Minute Exchange of Dyes), Material Control, Cell Manufacture, Energy Search and Time Study Training.

How does the workshop training work?

On identification of the area to be studied the team producing those parts are trained in the way of lean thinking and the lean tools required to achieve the continuous improvement in this work area. The number of people in this work area does not matter and the training can be given across three shifts if required. Management team members are also welcome to take part in the training such as team leaders, supervisors, quality personnel, maintenance staff etc.

Capri consultancy can also train and develop a CI person within your company to carry on the role of CI projects long after the training has finished. But if further help is required, we are only a phone call away.

We have over 40 years’ experience and have worked in many different types of industries, including heavy fabrication engineering, welding, clothing, injection moulding, weaving, textiles, toy manufacture, and car manufacturing. We excel at working with all levels of management, shop floor and unions

Some companies have had a go at doing there own Lean and Continuous Improvements and all this information is available on the internet but if you really want to make it happen we are the company that can help you exceed your wildest expectations so just send us an email or just pick up the phone and call us we could be the last piece of the jigsaw you are looking for
